It’s been nine years since Virgin America launched what has become one of the country’s best-loved airlines. With the pending acquisition by Alaska Airlines, Virgin probably won’t be around to celebrate its tenth anniversary. But for its ninth and likely its last birthday, Virgin America is giving away bonus points as party favors.
Offer Details
Through September 30, members of Virgin America’s Elevate program can earn 999 bonus points after one qualifying flight segment.
Registration is required.
Deal or No Deal
Virgin America points are worth around 2.2 cents apiece when redeemed for award flights. So 999 points are worth $22.
That amounts to a nice discount, especially on lower-priced flights. (Virgin America’s latest airfare sale features flights from $39 each way, through August 10.)
