Through August 22, MileagePlus members can save 25 percent when booking coach-class awards for roundtrip travel to Asia between August 29, 2016, and April 30, 2017, as follows:

• Flights between the U.S. and Canada to North Asia – discounted from 70,000 miles to 52,224 miles roundtrip
• Flights between the U.S. and Canada to South Asia – discounted from 80,000 miles to 62,224 miles roundtrip

The discounts do not apply to one-way trips, for Hawaii-originating travel, or for travel between December 9, 2016, and February 3, 2017.

Deal or No Deal

As does United’s domestic sale, this award sale features solid discounts, with a travel period totaling around six months.

The only negative: the close-in deadline to book at the discounted rates.
